poetry: five haiku ii

1.
feeling of oneness
you near me
touch of your skin
an awakening

2.
purple dawn
the moon rising over a castle
up on a steep cliff

3.
alligator
old and moss covered
waits by a bridge
for you to fall

4.
shallow sea water
leads you far out
where mush grass grows
and jelly

5.
a dragon whose name is Sam
has ferocious eyes
and a bad toothache

– marya ophir

[Note for nitpickers: the above are all haiku. Each has 17 syllables and can be arranged on 3 lines of 5-7-5 syllables accordingly, without hyphens.]
