This is a good idea! "Hypatia's Hoard of Reviews" is the blog where I put most of the literary links -- author sites, publisher sites, etc. "The Wordsmith's Forge" is where my own poetry is (see "poem" tag):

Also worth a peek, if you haven't found it yet, is Poetry Blog Rankings:

Hi Matt, This is a nice little resource. At the very least, the people linked to here will read each other's work. Thank you for including me! ^_^

I didn't get to say this to you the first time, but thank you for putting two of my poems in your blog! I feel a little strange that my stuff is there inbetween the works of people that have gotten their poems and such published in books.

I think it's extremely kind of you to introduce people to new poems and help spread the word about poets every day. I hope you continue to do this for a while.

Again, thank you.

Hi Matt, I appreciate that you find some poetic qualities in my artwork. Thank you for sharing them with your readers and for visiting my blog. I hope you return back - I'll be incorporating some original poetry into my paintings very soon. Hopefully it will be happier stuff than I wrote when I was withdrawing off Lexapro.

To answer the question you left on my blog...no, it's not very common to define the steps taken to achieve a certain painting effect. The title, date, medium, and support ARE important, but the method generally is not. But I put it out there for 3 reasons:

1. So I don't get bombarded with emails asking "are they real?" How did you do that?" etc. It also allows me to show my past works and prove my authority with this method, as silly as it seems.
2. Because "breast" is a popular keyword.
3. One must not startle the delicate brain workings of the over-religious nutjobs who feel that breasts are only meant to be used for breastfeeding - and there are a lot of them out there!
4. I also paint in a few other "gimmicky" methods...like with toys or vegetables. My challenge is to produce something beautiful that makes people wonder how on earth I did it. I think it's up to the buyer of the piece to do what they want with that info.

It's just easier to save myself the time an hassle by putting all the info I can cram into my listings. If people like it and don't mind the method or how it's presented...fine. If they think it's tasteless and has no artistic merit, that's fine too. I just don't want to be accused of being deceitful.

On a final note....these are some very nice poetry compilations you have here! I'm honored to have a place on this list. :-)

All the best to you!
