I love the definition of bureaucracy you quoted and I am glad you started your own life away from such schlepp. My choice to remain in bondage is freely made because my inability to become a private business-woman makes self-employment impossible - esp. with my genes, all family members who tried self-employment made a mess - so I prefer to be the fly in the administrative salve of a Government Department - I feel they need an inner voice of conscience - and the structure they provide changes my life into an exciting criminal one because every good, rational, creative thing I do is illegal - thus it becomes such a challenge to do the right thing - knowing it could lead to serious punishment and still getting away with it - marvelous!
