in time

In time
these poems
will give way
to stories
and those stories
to longer narratives.

    Hmmmm. Do you think poems have a further story to tell? I think they conservationists, a fine Zinfandel reserve. Leave verbose to the novelists who consume words with less regard to their weight and measure. Came over from Kay’s. Glad I stopped by. I enjoyed your work.

    I see your point, and it’s a good one.

    I will say this, I have stories I *want* to tell, but for now am still searching for the right words … this is what lead me to poetry.
