bait, a poem

Fate isn’t so old
that it has forgotten
how to tempt the young
with destiny.

bait

a deep red, a poem

A deep red
pulls at you;
a color so intense
it hits you
in the base of your brain
calling up
primal urges
to bite the bit
and snap the strap
that holds you
grounded.

steer, a poem

Her ghost watched over him
and tried to lead him
through the harsh rocks
that she’d crashed against
years ago.

Sherrie Lovler

    One doesn’t know
    the veil is there
    before it is lifted,
    Until that aha moment
    when it dissolves
    opening to a new reality,
    a doorway into
    the continuing dream.
    – From Ode to the Veil

Make sure to click through and read the entire poem! Sherrie Lovler writes from her blog, Nature, Art and Poetry. All the beautiful art work that goes with each post is her own … color me green with envy! She also has a commercial art site, which I’m happy to freely plug, Ink Monkey Press. But make sure to check out Nature, Art and Poetry first though!
