hint of shadow, a poem

hint of shadow

Illumination
enlightenment
the brightness
turned up
until it is blinding,
a blackness
in its own right;
a lack of definition
that makes me desperate
for even just a hint
of shadow.

when the light comes
Light and Shadows

When the light comes
the cockroaches will scurry
the ghosts will fade
and the vampires,
they will burn.

darkness and dim light, a poem

darkness and dim light, a poem

darkness and dim light
Light and Shadows
Darkness and dim light
the play of shadows
across a windswept plateau
old trees that shake and waver
flashes of lightening
from dark clouds
full of slow rumbling thunder;
spirits call to you
in the night
and ask you
for a role reversal
let me roam again
they say
once more
with the living.

enveloped in shadows, a poem

enveloped in shadows, a poem

enveloped in shadows
Light and Shadows
Enveloped in shadows
seeping into the earth
strong pungent smells
yesterday devouring me
even as tomorrow
springs out;
my heart floats
high above
casting diffuse rays
of dim blue.

destroyed by light, a poem

destroyed by light, a poem

destroyed by light
Light and Shadows
Destroyed by light
a vampire
too hyped up
on positive thoughts
and rosy requests;
now just a zombie
burning in the morning dawn
and wishing
for a cool breath
of shadow.
