rose, renape, honour, love, and phoenix reich

A few poems from other blogs …

Full Bloom at In the Bloom. This is a very poignant poem. It reminds me very much about what Yoshida Kenko said about cherry blossoms. This one really pulls at me.

Poetics: Renape at waystationone. More truth than most can handle here. Not only an important message, but a carefully crafted poem. Even more timely as people fuss and argue over immigration these days. If you didn’t catch this poem the first time around, be sure to read it now.

Honour at Sweet Lust: This poem is truly stunning. It deals with such a heavy topic, and yet with such deftness and grace. Each line reaches out and holds you all the way to the end. Such tragedy. Another poem you simply must read.

p.s. i love you – passionate prose at Humming Today: Such a tumbling of words one right after the other, and all of it so full of the animated excitement that love brings on. This is not prose, no matter what the author says, this is a poem bursting at the seams with exuberance over its theme. Excellent!

two 2 tango (phoenix reich) at Old 333: the future is poetry. All of Peter Greene’s poetry tickle my imagination – such fantastic word play and with such images. Then there are these serious poems, so poignant, that get mixed in with the rest. People should listen to what Peter has to say!

I hope you enjoyed these, if you’d like more, check out my last similar post, tears, pixies, shelved stuff, life, and puddles.

A poet looks at the world the way a man looks at a woman.
– Wallace Stevens
