Shirley Allard

Mounds of snow covered the landscape
hiding its imperfections like a blanket smoothed over a lumpy mattress.
I shifted my weight, pulled the shades
in an effort to block the clouds from my view.
    – from Missing Moments

That’s exactly what I’d do, too. Make sure to click through and read the entire poem! Shirley Allard writes from the blog Whispers In The Wind, and you’re missing out if you’ve never taken in the soft and gentle ambience there, not to mention the excellent poetry.

thanks for following my blog. i will be following yours. I’ve always been a fan. Don’t know how you found mine–shabby chic lady was returned as undeliverable. else you’d have been notified. I guess I will be kept posted from following your whispers in the wind thing? You know in Sufi poetry (read Rumi etc) the wind was a metaphor for a message from God. And finally I know what you look like. You are beautiful! (Not that that’s important or anything for your husband to worry about)
thanks for your once and future (?) support
