voluptuosity, a poem

Voluptuosity;
a blond
molded
to fantasy proportions;
a collar and a chain
from her neck
to a hand of bone;
a skeleton
with yellow tennis shoes
and blank hollow holes
where I should be.

voluptuosity

the clangor of the chain, a poem

The clangor of the chain
mingling
with the flaps
of a thousand black birds
clawing and screeching.

He fought them back
but the burden was heavy,
the curtain of the night
a final weight
that crushed him down.

Now the moon shines
on his torn visage;
all that remains
of eternal memories
that still leak
into older worlds.

universal equilibrium, a poem

Universal equilibrium
analysis of energy
all relative
to the here and now
this time
a place
that hammers down on you.

A libra for your liberty
bills to pay
kids to feed
a wife
who no longer believes in you
and only spare change
for chains
to hold you down.

Define the system
earth
spinning out of orbit
friendly planets
shudder in a rapture
and rebel
a dance
a reverie
at the end of time;
the galaxy
at odds with itself
having asked
too many questions.
