A soft gentle breeze
at the end of a hot day,
a baby crying somewhere distant
breaking the silence.

An empty desk cleared
of work, an open notebook
waiting for a poem.

to let go
is the wrong thing
to let yourself do.

A castle up on a cliff
overlooks a silver river
flowing through the mist.

A dead end under a bridge
out by tomorrow’s city
where I’ll find you.

Birds fly overhead
you stretch your arms up
towards the arch they fly under.

A valley high up
nestled between peaks
where a white castle greets you.

Stars and gloss flow and
flowers twirl in soft gusts
of free floating fairy breath.

Shadows grow down in
the valley, while mountains bathe
in twilight orange.
