Faith’s Return, a poem

by Felicity Hope

I hear the sound of thunder
but I do not see the rain.

I call out and listen,
but only my own voice returns.

I could cry a tear,
I could stop the world from turning,
I could stand and shout.

Yet, none of this to any avail.

I can only sit and think
of dreams undreamt
of stories untold,
of faith unanswered.

Then I hear it,
a small voice,
it whispers some message I cannot hear,
but from all this I think of you.

I think of magic trees,
and places farther off
than distance can ever cover.

I think of things I cannot see,
except perhaps through your eyes,
maybe I can catch a glimmer.

Something beautiful,
it must be.

So I want to see you,
but to no avail.

So I set and hope and wait
and see if faith returns.

In Faith, a poem

by Emma Blue

Faith holds me to a circuit
and keeps me hope full;
but you are still one step ahead of me
a carrot of my own design
a promise that eludes me.

Someday
perhaps by just by mistake
the universe will stumble
and at that moment
I will finally catch you
and then your love
will spill out, shared
over the entirety of all creation
with radiance enough
to give birth
to something not yet seen;
the universe born yet again
but this time renewed
in faith.

The Tenets of our Faith, a poem

by Marya Ophir

You sprinkle me with extreme views;
I call it a want of information;
What I need to know is your true character;
I’ll assure you it’s not in any religious text.

You grope laboriously but never reach me,
Always distant, never there —
You’re quite correct in saying
God gave me a soul
and I must find it.

You see, you exist for death,
But I exist for life.

We will enjoy our relative rewards entirely
and as differently as
the tenets of our faith.

Poetic Quotes about Faith

Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.
— Rabindranath Tagore

Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.
— Helen Keller

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.
― Mahatma Gandhi

We All Have Dreams

Some of us run from them.
Some of us drown in them.
At Shadow of Iris,
We capture them.
